No Resort Entry fee
There's No Entry Fee To Dinner Plain
The great news is there is no Resort Entry Fee to visit Dinner Plain Alpine Village, making it an affordable snow destination. Just come right in! It's important to note, however, that there is a Resort Entry Fee at nearby Hotham Alpine Resort, and many of you will need to drive through Mount Hotham to get to Dinner Plain if you are coming via Bright. Here's what you need to know.
Hotham Alpine Resort Entry
During the ski season, there is an entry fee to visit Hotham Alpine Resort.
The Hotham Resort Entry Fee is not applicable if you plan to drive straight through to Dinner Plain along the Great Alpine Road without stopping. Beware, number plate cameras operate at Hotham and vehicles that stop within the resort area without a valid pass can be fined.
Many visitors to Dinner Plain like to ski or snowboard at Mount Hotham, just 11km away. Hotham is located in the Alpine National Park and if you plan to stop there in winter, you will need to pay a Resort Entry Fee. You can purchase this online from the Hotham website.
Hotham Resort entry is separate to your Lift Pass. You can pre-purchase single day or multi-day Resort Entry permits online.
There is no fee to visit Hotham Alpine Resort once the ski season has ended.
Shuttle Bus
A shuttle bus between Dinner Plain and Mount Hotham runs every day throughout the ski season. When you travel on this bus, your Hotham Resort Entry fee is included in your bus ticket and subsidised by Alpine Shire Council.
