During the snow season, alpine roads are icy and often covered with snow. It’s essential to have snow chains with you prior to driving to Dinner Plain and you must be able to fit them to your vehicle when required. It’s the law and fines apply for noncompliance. You can hire snow chains in Bright, Harrietville, Myrtleford, Ovens, Porepunkah, Mount Beauty and Omeo. Staff will ensure you have the right size chains for your tyres and show you how to use them.
